Volunteering & community involvement
The Life Bus - Canadian Blood Services
According to the Canadian Blood services, the demand for blood donations is constantly on the rise on a global scale. Thanks to the "Life Bus", donating blood has never been easier. Organized by the CBS, the "Life Bus" comes right to your door to pick-up volunteer donors, the round trip only taking about 90 minutes. The HBI Crew roll-up their sleeves every 3 to 4 months to help out, and pledged to donate blood to support Canadian Blood Services at the Calgary Blood Centre (737 – 13 Ave SW) in 2015. HBI had 5 donors attend the clinic in Calgary, led by organizers Kate Jones and Sydney Kendall, providing enough blood products to help over 10 hospital patients.
